Web Developer Resource Index: Dublin Core
Dublin Core is a standardized set of metadata elements, most commonly used for
describing documents and other resources on the WWW, often in some
form of XML, notably RDF. Dublin Core, often referred
to as DCMI, is named for the town of Dublin, OH where the first
meeting of metadata specialists took place leading to its development.
