Dublin Core is a standardized set of metadata elements, most commonly used for describing documents and other resources on the WWW, often in some form of XML, notably RDF. Dublin Core, often referred to as DCMI, is named for the town of Dublin, OH where the first meeting of metadata specialists took place leading to its development.
