XSL Formatting Objects (XSL-FO) is a member of the XSL family of XML languages from the W3C. As the name implies, the intent of the language is to format XML documents, which have no predefined presentation or output semantics built-in. XSL-FO is often combined with XSLT to produce the desired results.
