Web Developer Resource Index: History
The History of the Internet and the Web provides the developer with a better sense of how
technology has evolved up to the present, and a fresh perspective on what to expect in the
future. Too often, in my opinion, people in this industry are near-sighted and don’t
appreciate the efforts made by many unsung visionaries from the past, or worse, are only
concerned with financial profit or other personal gain.
I stand up and say, without Bill Joy, Larry Wall, Tim Berners-Lee, and countless other people who worked hard, and often with little recognition, you wouldn’t have an Internet or Web to make money with!
The Web is an incrediable resource, with endless potential.
