Web Developer Resource Index: Protocols
At the OSI Application layer (7) are a whole family of Internet Protocols.
For the most part, this resource index is only concerned with protocols that relate
directly to the WWW. Note that there is a little fuzziness here as to
whether you would categorize CGI or the URI as true Internet
Protocols.
For the purpose of simplicity, and because I feel these topics should be grouped together, they are presented here. For further information on the TCP/IP family of protocols, search for a FAQ.
