This area is old news, try visiting my s9y blogZero.

The future plans for this area are pretty much what you'd expect — my daily, or at least weekly, comments, views and opinions on news, culture, design, programming and the state of standards and accessibility on the WWW.

I wouldn't hold your breath, but I will be adding RSS and Atom XML feeds, user comments, trackback, permalinks, blogrolls — all the really fun stuff kids! In fact, I just hit on my first topic:

Bloggers take Silly Jargon to a new Level of Absurdity

Here's a sneak peek if you're interested. Actually, what would really be interesting is if Jonathan at 10x10 were to apply his technology to blogging and see what pops up as the number one or two keywords in the blog universe. My guess is semantics would be right up there near the top. So perhaps a better first entry might be:

The Meaning of Semantics

If you think I'm joking, I'm not. This guy wins the prize for his blog titled Semantics of Spam. Excuse me, <span>. In a dozen or so short paragraphs he uses the word semantics 40 times. 40 times! Twice as many times as the word span. I mean my god, are these people obsesseded or what? Do you think you're audience cares if your markup is semantically perfect? I guess so, if you're audience is a bunch of similarly crazed semhappy maniacs who have nothing better to do than go around looking at other people's code just to criticize it. Why not go spend a few hours figuring out how to add a bunch more useless crap to your plethora of .htaccess files while you're at it? Sheesh.

Now I imagine what he's really doing is spamming the search engines, but real people are supposed to read this stuff, right? ...semantics semantics semantics egg and semantics; semantics semantics semantics semantics semantics semantics baked beans... Vikings chime in...

Or how about:

Why do Designers and Programmers throw Stones

At each other from Across the Pond?

I'm sure that will generate some hits. Until you get there and see what I have to say on the topic(s) anyway. Just kidding. It should be interesting, when I get around to it.

Remember folks, this entire site is is hand-coded by me. No WordPress, MovableType or Blogger here.

Is Gutenberg Rolling Over in his Grave?

All opinions are my own, so if I offend anyone then oops. Hopefully you'll learn something because that's what this is all about anyway.
